The Society and Foundation host regular meetings and events throughout the year, including:
Friday, March 15: Deadline for 2019 Maine State Society Foundation scholarship application.
Friday, March 15: Maine Statehood Celebration, 6:00-8:00pm. Come celebrate Maine's Birthday with Maine friends at the Dirty Water Sports Bar at 816 H St NE, Washington, DC 20002. We will enjoy New England beers and ice cream from Mount Desert Island Ice Cream along with birthday cake. Maine Native and Author Robert Charles will be there signing copies of his latest Book, Eagles and Evergreens, and $20 will bring you an open bar all night.
March 24: Foundation Maine Maple Sundae at Mt. Desert Island Ice Cream’s D.C. shop. Stop by between 2:00-4:00pm for specialty ice cream and Maine maple syrup. Event details here.
Monday, April 8: Maine Cherry Blossom Princess Welcome Dinner, 6:00-8:00pm. Come welcome Maine's 2019 Cherry Blossom Princess, Ms. Zoe Grant of Belfast, to Washington at Luke's Lobster Farragut Square Location 800 17th St NW, Washington, DC 20006. Advance payments are not required but please let us know if you can make it by dropping us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Friday, April 12: National Conference of State Societies Cherry Blossom Princess Ball, 6:00-11:00pm at the JW Marriott 1331 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Washington DC.
